And The Winner Is…

Along with the end of the year come the traditional end of the year “Best of” lists.
Usually they a) are filled with stuff you have never heard of, b) filled with stuff you are tired of hearing of, or c) mention your name and your first book as one of the Best of the Year.

It’s with a great deal of pride that I announce that Denton and Monty’s first adventure, the PWA Shamus Award Nominated “Resurrection Angel” was mentioned by local publishing, book, arts and movie maven Lisa Ciurro (she of Tampa Book Buzz fame) as Best Book I Read This Year That Was Written By A Local Author.

Okay, so technically there was a tie with another book, but still – I will take those accolades where I can get them.

One of my goals for 2008 is to start doing more appearances and signings here locally and get the series out there in the community and get my name known as a source of great writing and entertainment. And if I happen to sell some books, get my picture in the paper or a magazine and start getting some more cute female stalkers, then so be it.

I am willing to suffer for my art.

Or something like that.
