We’re going to discuss a way of eating that will melt that belly fat away, and make you healthier, and freak your doctor out.
For the uninitiated, the Paleo eating plan posits that we should eat like our Paleolithic ancestors ate.
They figure that our body has evolved to eat certain things over the past 2.5 million years that we’ve been on earth.
Things such as animal protein, fats, and certain types of vegetables and fruits.
It’s only in the past several hundred years that we’ve had agriculture and industrialization, which led to fast food, junk food, shitty carbs and sodas.
There is a subset of this Paleo diet, that takes it even further, and cuts carbs drastically.
It’s known as Keto (short for Ketosis) or the Low Carb, High Fat (LCHF) diet.
Low Carb, High Fat (LCHF) It Is What It Says It Is
And that’s what we’re going to talk about today.
Just like it says on the label, under this eating plan you’re going to focus on 1) fat, 2) protein and eat as little 3) carbs as possible.
I’ve been eating this way (and journaling about it) since Tuesday, September 2, 2014, and I have lost 6 pounds.
BAM! As Emeril would say.
I watched the below video last night and loved it immediately.
I love it when folks try something, it works, and then they share their message.
As a Coach, I want to be able to recommend things that work. This works, and this video is a great introduction to both the science and the art of LCHF.
Bob has a great story to tell, and he tells it with a degree of humbleness and humility and just plain ol’ Southern charm that it makes you want to run out and try to do what he’s doing.
And I highly encourage that!
For now, enjoy this video and have a great weekend!
Update Number Two! I’ve created a playlist over on YouTube for a 6 hour presentation by Dr. Justin Anderson on how and why the low carb lifestyle works. His presentation is called “Cut The Killer Carbs” and it is amazing.
